Actors

"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts."

This Shakespearean quote is possibly the most accurate description of human life. We play different roles, so many different roles every moment. I have heard about some famous actors living as their characters. In every possible way they get into the character. Once the shoot is over, for some people it is difficult to get out of the mindset of the character. It get stuck in their brain. Once they strip away the character, some people get to start as blank state.

Sometime we all have this problem. A person in powerful position carries the same  attitudes outside the office. Over privileged children expect the similar treatment from the entire world and many time get disappointed. We play the role  and forget to break out of the characters. We play some roles and get so addicted to it and identify with it too much. We become characters and lose our self.

Occasionally it is useful to sit down, close the eyes and ask the question "Who am I"?

What use does it have? Maybe nothing. If the role we are playing is a happy character, why bother? If we get stuck with the super villain role or the role of an evil king or an ego maniac, that may be a good question to ask, I guess.
