Unknown Unknowns

I am not touching when I touch. The atoms in my body do not come into full contact when I hug or kiss. The outer most electrons in the outer most part of the skin repel each other preventing overlap of electron clouds. But I still feel touch. The act of touching generates an electrical impulse transmitted to my brain. Then what am I feeling?

If my thoughts generate an electric event, can others perceive it some how? How does the electric field of love differ from animosity? If we train our mind and fine tune our senses can we sense things beyond the five senses almost all of us are aware of? Can two people communicate with force field generated in brain? Can one control the thoughts of someone else?

How does brain control our physiology? We know about the endocrine system, the flight or fight response etc. But those are obvious phenomena. How does thought process or mental state affect immune system of body or other physiological responses that eventually determine the disease susceptibility of body or longevity?

Life is complex and many phenomena in these biological worlds are too subtle to be observed easily. Those could be the untapped potential of human kind. May be the one that distinguish X-men from men?
