Practice make performance! The effort one put to bring out a beautiful performance are moments of true happiness. Let it be the performance of a circus acrobat, a street magician, a violin maestro, a sports person. It is pure pleasure to watch someone perform with happiness. Itt is inspiration.
These are moments of creativity that raise us to the cloud of gods.
I feel that moment of joy when I first saw the positive result of an assay shwowing my gene editing experiment has worked, when I first got the signal in immunostaining, when the engineered mouse showed a phenotype that was exciting (although perplexing). Or when I get to the last part of the project, when the puzzles are almost getting solved and I have a pretty good idea what the missing piece is.....
I am wating for more such moments. All the experiments I am doing and all the long hours I am pulling in the lab (with joy) with kids less than half of my age, hope they would give me more such moments of joy and excitement. Learning something new, even if the rest of the world could not care less, are truly joyful. Making the life worth living.
